This might be a dumb thread but bear with me

The narrative around the BK firing was that Woody “went rogue”
Is it possible that he knew Kiffin would be interested?
I know he didn’t give Kiffin a second thought back in 2021 but things change, and given SW’s prior relationship to Sexton, I wonder if Sexton tipped off SW that Kiffin was looking for a job and UF was in the driver seat unless LSU made a move.

Another thought could be Sexton and/or Kiffin wanted Verge in place as AD after SW was fired

It’s been long rumored that Woody wanted nothing to do with Kiffin and vice versa. So it lines up and makes sense that if the big decision makers wanted Kiffin, ousting Woody was the first step in making it happen.

It is far more likely that BK was an arse in that meeting and Woodward got pissed an “fired” BK without permission.

…which pissed off the BOS because they wanted to wait until after a new president was named…

…and they were building a case for firing him for cause…

And the whole thing gets nuked by Woodward acting rashly.

That’s just my guess.

That seems more likely given the shitshow that ensued after BK was fired

Woodward went rogue because the fans were boiling with anger at Brian Kelly and if he didn’t do something, there would have been riots.

Probably true, coupled with the fact that he knew he had made a mistake with hiring Kelly and was looking for an opportunity to can him and correct his mistake . Wood should have had his ducks lined up with his own supervisors and when the opportunity arose, he could, act.
