This DSAG group is wonderful - they are active and do a ton for the families. 22 years ago when my daughter was born, DSAG wasn’t quite as well run or active for families and the kids.
Legit a heartwarming event where you get to be around the best of humanity.

re: Anyone else think that the Devil was better than Johnny on the fiddle?

Best friend moved to Tennessee for his job and now lives outside of Nashville. Called me to come up and spend a weekend with him and we hit Broadway one of the evenings. I don’t know which one of the 8000 bars we wound up in, but some early 20 year old kid played that song on the fiddle, and I swore I was listening to a young Charlie Daniels.
Cool story bro, I know.
Johnny beat the devil, but the devil had the more unique song.

This show had potential, bored me to tears. The books had a decent concept, but couldn’t close it in any way that felt satisfactory at all.

All you need to know about how “friendly” Saudi Arabia is to the United States is to look at how much they accept the open practice of Christianity within that country,
Saudi Arabia is not a friend.

We care about basketball, we just hate it right now because of the state of our program.

Would love to see a breakdown of what the cost for a professional athlete is to play in California versus a no state tax state like Florida or Texas.
California is a stunningly gorgeous state ruined by the people who live in it.

There's definitely nuance to that statement that we're not privy too, especially since we don't know the relationship they had nor the manner in how it was said.
The problem with your assertion is that it is well documented this tore Brooks apart.
It wasn’t nuanced and it was mean as hell.

I’m a big fan of tough parenting, but I would never say something like that to my son.

Winter Olympics always brings back memories of the 1980s Miracle on Ice. Netflix’s documentary gives a brief mention of Herb Brooks being torn apart at having to make the last few cuts off that 1980 team because he went through that in 1960 when he was the last cut from the 1960 gold medal team. While watching the team win the gold medal, his dad looked over at him and just took of the greatest pot shots ever:
All the credit in the world that Brooks took that as motivation to become coach of the team that pulled off the greatest win in team sports history.
DO YOU BELIEVE IN MIRACLES!!

Herb Brooks was famously the last player cut from the 1960 U.S. Olympic hockey team, which went on to win gold. While watching the team win on television, his father told him, "It looks like they cut the right guy," prompting Brooks to use this failure as motivation for his coaching career.

19,200 likes for that first video is the most disturbing thing. I could be okay with two low class, degenerate assholes being just that, but seeing how many other low class, degenerate assholes exist out there is disheartening.
