On a positive note yall will be able to cheer for the Giants because that's your offensive coordinator!

How is him being at LSU going to make it less likely he leaves?

You think he’s going to get to LSU and say “oh man. I love it here so much I’m going to turn down a job that doesn’t include recruiting, gives me way more time off with my family and is in New York! Nah. I’ll stay in Baton Rouge”

I didn’t realize the fortunes of LSU rise or fall on an assistant coach we didn’t know existed a year ago.

Maybe we should have hired Weis instead of Kiffin. Could have got him for a significant discount.

Well he certainly felt that way about Oxford. Remains to be seen for Baton Rouge.

If he doesn't come to LSU, he doesn't come. Kiffin is the guy LSU wanted. Anybody else is a plus, but there are no mandatories.

Ole Miss also has a new OC that used to be the OC under Kiffin.

I'd expect him to be the first call if Weiss doesn't make it to Baton Rouge.

Or what if Joe Cox is the OC in waiting?

Kiffin's not going to pick a guy just because he's been a good OC before. He's said their playcalling is a collaborative effort, so he's going to pick someone that he communicates well with.

Could be Cox. That might make for some fun student section chants.

ETA: It's also notable that he's hired 2 defensive line coaches in addition to Peoples and given his brother responsibility for linebackers. He already knows that he gets 1 year with Baker. Be interesting to see if he brings in somebody to work with safeties.

Could be Dane Stevens also. Hes the QB coach whom I'm sure mirrors Lane and Charlie Weis

Where is this bullshite coming from?

The giants are going to hire Charlie Weis Jr as their oc before hiring a head coach?

I love how Charlie Weis Jr was the one really running ole miss this entire time. Now do I think kiffin puts a lot on Weis and leans on him, yes.

We gotta stop with the Weis stuff. I truly don’t give a shite if he’s at lsu or not. And neither should you.

Not just that, Pete Golding, Joe Judge, and the NIL people assembled the roster.

Doesn’t appear Kiffin did much of anything.

You ever seen a CEO and what they physically do compared to all the people below them.

You think the CEO of walmart is running around stocking the shelves and doing the hiring and firing in each store or what.

He's the face and pieces together a staff and let them do the work

Unfortunately, these people are being very reactionary and emotional and think that one well put together game plan in a playoff game will magically make him a front runner for a NFL gig. If he’s being looked at for an NFL gig, this evaluation has been a long time in the making.

Conversely, are you familiar with Cignetti’s approach?? He is very hands on. Particularly because he’s conditioned to not having a bunch of resources at his disposal. The point being, some CEOs/HCs are more hands on than others

If Kiffin left and nothing else changed staff or player wise there probably wouldn't have been nearly as much backlash.

The other part of the backlash was him dragging it out so long

Ok but that’s never happened in any coaching change ever
