YES, he won a NC @ Florida...ONE! I'm not making light of that but he was there for 12 years, figure it took him 4 years to build the program. He's still 1 for 8, and it was over 10 years ago.

he also happened to coach at UF when FSU was a dynasty. they were pretty good in the 90s

How about the other 4 SEC games he dropped?

you mean when he came to tiger stadium and kept the game close against LSU?

My cousin is best friends with Michael Clayton's brother. He told me that Michael Clayton had dinner with John Gruden 3 nights ago and Chucky said he had been contacted about and expressed great interest in the LSU job. Said something about his experience at Tiger Stadium when coaching at Tennessee. Said he loved coaching in the SEC etc...

Jon Gruden would most definitely fit that mold as well.

Gruden is not going anywhere unless they completely take and give the division back to the saints. even so we'd probably have a coach in place by then

clayton was more than likely drunk

there have been so many rumors, its hard to tell what is true.
the name i hear most is SOS, and with lombardis participation i think the is the closest to actually happening.(not saying it will)

one thing that's consistent...

Okie St fans weren't too sad about Miles leaving them.

majority of LSU fans won't be either.

hmmm...

no no no. i'm just saying that people sometimes associate the place, rather than the people.

there are restaurants i won't go to because of one bad experience there, even though its unlikely they have the same chefs, managers, or waitstaff.

hell, people here hate notre dame for something they did in the 70s.

spurrier grew up in florida, played for florida, and then coached at florida. and then LSU as a university, disprected him. at what point would he have cultivated a liking for lsu?

1. Lloyd Carr - easily the most under rated HC in the country! Why?? I've watched Michigan carefully over the last 5 years and IMHO tOSU has somehow managed to buy officials especially in those critical games between Mich/OSU!! Two years ago for example Mich had the game won and OSU sent a reciever out on a long desperate pass route who clearly ran five yards out of bounds and then ran back in bounds and caught the pass on a fly run for a touchdown which the corrupt Big Ten Officials counted which with a couple of minutes left in the game iced the game for Ohio. This is one example out of hundreds of the corruption that Ohio State is! If this information is correct (and it is) then Lloyd Carr has not been losing at least not losing by the correct rules of the game. What I do not like about Lloyd Carr is his grumpyness and problems with Les Miles who I consider LSU's greatest HC alltime.

2. Mark Dantonio - a recommended HC to me personally in 2004 and I still feel to be the best defensive mind in all of football barring Belechik. The wench that recommended Dantonio to me is a pain in the rump Buckeye fanatic who would murder my dog for another national title I might add!! LOL

I have only two choices to offer.
