I think you could hire a younger guy (Guidry?) to coach your DBs so walker could then focus on the D as a whole, but still look over the db coaches shoulder

This is why I believe that until we hear about an experienced db coach coming in, Walker is the guy.

Isn't there a limit as to how many coaches you all can have? Looks like you are up around 40 or so (and that's just on defense).

I think it's 9, but we are at about 15 since the Rant has been interviewing guys for QB coach.

We're getting rid of definitely 2, possibly 3 coaches if we dump Lane and get O. How do we replace them with 4?

My latest update is it might be possible Orgeron could be trying to make a play at getting a raise at the saints...He isn't going to Tennessee, it doesn't make sense. If Orgeron pulls a fast one (He has received an offer from LSU) and a deal isn't done then it will be Haley from the Bears as the DL guy...
Not sure where all the Walker info is coming from, Coach seems to be pretty set on Chavis at this point. They did talk, but haven't heard much more.
I guess nothing is really new, but there have been a lot of talk with Chavis in the past couple days.

This has been discussed many times before. O has spent just about his entire career at the college level. He loves to recruit and it is what he does best. After spending a year in the NFL he apparently wants to get back into college.
I have not seen Haley's reasons for possibly leaving the NFL discussed.
