Chavis, O, and Willis seem to be a pretty good pick up
I REALLY like Willis, but in this scenario, I don't see how he would fit in. Isn't Chavis a LB guy? So we can assume (since we are already assuming) that O comes in for the d-line, Chavis comes in as DC and LB coach, and that would leave us with a need for a secondary coach. Not sure how Willis fits in here...

I wouldn't say bad news, just not great news. I would go in the meh to solid range.

Was bp confirming this or just saying that sec coaches were being contacted cause Chavis would be DC and LB coach? That's what I got from it anyway...

I don't get this. He may not have been my first choice, but he is solid.

Agreed and I think most do. We just had a chance to get a more aggresive type D coordinator which people were excited about.

I'd love Coach O as DL coach, but Haley does have the perfect name for the job.....Brick Haley.

If Sean Payton said this morning Coach O is staying put, then where is the rumor he is coming here surfacing from?
And i dont mean Belowpar, I mean are there serious negotiations at this time that Sean Payton isnt aware of?

Chavis is a good, safe choice. That is what we need. He knows the SEC too. That's a plus.

Why would Payton discuss this? It's just like Les not discussing the release and hiring of coaches. It's bad business.
