Par, I know this is a little off topic but can you give us a idea on the "mood" of the team? How has practice been going? has the coaching hoopla effected them at all? And how do you think they will perform new years eve?

At one time there was some talk of potential NFL position coaches coming in as DC. Is anyone still hearring this? (LB coach from Miami/Dave Campo, etc...)

I'd hope that Les doesn't hire anybody who hasn't demonstrated the ability to game plan an entire defensive scheme fo a particular opponent. Doesn't necessarily mean he has to have been a DC, but he certainly needs to be able to handle the task. No OJT next year.

The time table key is when the coaches that are taking other jobs are announced.
Once they are announced then you will see l.s.u. announce the candidates and replacements if the deals are finalized by then.
Can't announce ogeron when lane is still on the staff.
I look for information to break around the bowl time as to who is taking other jobs and where. Then the candidates and replacements will start falling in line, publicly, from Dec. 31- Jan 5.
everyone may not be hired but you will have a very good idea who the guy or guy's are much like pelini. he wasn't here, but miles was able to tell recruits, this type of defense is what we will be running. The guy i'm bringing in has a n.f.l. background and has coached in college ect.

he was talked about as a fallback for DL coach in case it wasn't O. The Dolphins guy he's talking about is George Edwards, who I think Les wanted when he came. I think he's been DC for the Browns before.
