Of course, don't say anything to Maximus, facts tend to confuse him.

Does anyone remember how he ran Ole Miss even deeper into the ground?

Dude, we're looking at him as a DL coach. He's probably the single most qualified DL coach in the nation.

get Dooley's OL coach.

He was on our staff last year and when there, the D line was much better.

these guys were ridiculing his D line expertise when Ole Miss hired him, now he's a savior. If he's a bust, they'll deserve it.

All I can say is I know I'm right and if hired, I'll be saying I told you so one day.

no they weren't, you're talking out of your arse. His hire was ridiculed b/c everyone knew he wasn't ready to be a HC

Correct.

If we were hiring him as a head coach or even a defensive coordinator, I'd have a different opinion of the hire.

But, you are talking about a guy who had tons of success at Miami, tons of success at USC, was a head coach in the SEC (even if he didn't succeed) and now has NFL experience behind him. And, oh by the way, he's pretty universally regarded as an excellent recruiter who's very, very familiar with the area.

If there is a more qualified DL coach, I'd like to see someone point him out.

one one hand you hate a DL coach for talking yaw yaw and ripping his shirt off on the other you admire a head coach for wanting to take on any sucker after getting blown out, cursing at a little female sideline reporter and saying HAVE A NICE DAY!!!

Our DL needs that

agreed

hell, I'm not sure I've ever seen an area of a team at LSU as talented and deep as our DL that underachieved as bad as that unit did this year

they were no factor pretty much all season

cause someone is wrong...and chavis is not necessarily the #1 choice - I think walker is personally, and chavis is waiting on us to answer clemson

Brumbaugh is very good, he'd be a good hire if O didn't pan out.
