How do you know there’s no interest? We are after people that are still in it, sorry we didn’t go after ULL’s coach that’s doesn’t have anything left to wait on to see if they are still alive for the year

There is a lot of interest, but it's from coaches you would have no interest in running the program.

Your problem is you ride by, see it, and admire it but don't understand it because you never experienced it. LSU lives it so they know how to deal with it. That's the difference between LSU's program and yours. Understand what I said here and you may grasp why Ole Miss has never done anything.

It has progressed. Initially, you remember how long the list was?
Franklin and Tucker were on the list....they now have nice fat raises and extensions.
Baylor has all of a sudden cobbled together an extension this past week. But the past 2 weeks the rumor, smoke, and hot talk was that Riley was coming to LSU.
If this was the case, why would Baylor worry about getting Aranda an extension? Are they worried about USC or are they worried about LSU?
I think Woodward know 2 weeks ago that Riley wasn't coming. I don't think that is failure, it's they job searches go. Thank goodness Alleva isn't leading this search.

Man, I get your concern, especially since most coaching search information is derived from anonymous posters on TD and members of the media, most of which has been pretty inconsistent and frankly inaccurate (in fairness to most posters, they are likely just repeating the info they receive). But the facts remain as follows: our AD has a pretty good track record of hiring coaches, our AD also seems to have a reputation of keeping his intentions close to the vest, the consensus is that we have plenty of money to spend, and our last three coaches have won NC’s. The facts point to the coaching search ending well for LSU.

So the only I’ll say is that everything “reported” this far, needs to be taken with a giant grain of salt.
We don’t have confirmation that SW offered Riley diddly squat. We don’t have confirmation Riley was even his no. 1. We don’t have confirmation that SW still doesn’t have his guy inked.
We have confirmation of nothing to be honest. People need to take a chill pill and calm down.

O was fired on October 17 and we still have no replacement. UF fired Dan Mullen on November 21 and has announced a replacement. What has Woodward been doing since October 17? Doesn’t look like he was hiring anyone.
