UT barely won that game and vince didn't have a great game

LSU was a "big time spread team" in 2007 now? i learn something new every day
UT 2005, UT 2006, UT 2008, UO 2009, etc show OSU has had a lot of defensive success against the spread and spread option

just b/c no one in the big cankles conference runs a good one,
the big10 has been running the spread option since like 2000 or so, and OSU dominates the conference

To get back on topic, I think the OC at Boise would be a pretty good fit for LSU.

If UT can't lock him up, I doubt he would come down here.

I think the spread is so largely dependent on the qb to run it successfully
huh? SPREAD OPTION YES...SPREAD PASS NO. OU and Mizzou run the spread pass. you need to SPECIFY what type of spread you are talking about son.

Harsin (Boise OC), Cignetti (former Pitt OC), and Steve Logan (position coach for Tampa Bay) would be my top three choices for OC. And they all run Pro Style offenses.

The thing about overhauling our offense would be the period of transition. To recruit and plan for an entire new offense, that period usually entails one or two 3 or 4 loss seasons. Something the negatigers would hate. Find a pro-offensive guru and recruit for that offense.

Pro Style offense
Heavy offensive lineman check
Power RB's check
Fullback check
Big outside receivers check
Slot receivers check
Pro style qb's check (Mett and Lee)
We have the athletes to immediately play a pro style offense. In fact we are better suited for it than this quasi spread we have been running.

We have the pieces, 100% agree.

The more and more I read on this guy the more impressive he seems. I think I would want him over Logan at this point.
