Their main complaint about Fuente was his lack of recruiting and don't want to go down a similar road.

A fair point, but Chadwell still looks like a good hire for that level of program. Certainly worth an interview.

It’s the biggest example of the old saying NCAA was so mad at Alabama that they put Charleston southern on probation

This statement is pure gold!

He runs a gimmick offense, got fired from his last head coaching gig for getting the school in big shite with the NCAA, and has limited FBS experience, so probably Coastal Carolina.

Take out the part about probation (which as discussed earlier in the thread was a complete bullshite over reach by the NCAA) and it sounds a lot like urban Meyer prior to Florida. Just saying. He’s replicated his success multiple times.

Also that gimmick offense is top 10 in total offense and scoring offense top 15 in rushing offense and just outside top 25 in passing offense.

Im not saying he should get the LSU job or even the Florida job. Hes a step away from that. However there is about to be a bunch of dominoes fall and someone should take a chance on him.

If VA Tech hires Clawson, he would be an interesting fit at Wake. They have tended to run non-traditional offenses in recent years, so his would probably fit there.

That gif sure does make you Napier Bros mad. Must be close to the mark.

Gonna make you mad when Napier's Gator chomping on that LSU arse just like Spurrier did.....LSU is the #1 school at screwing up a coach hire....Everyone has used them to get a raise and they will end up with Matt Big 12 middle of the pack Campbell....LOL

Napier played Chadwell last year with 11 starters out for covid and lost on a last second field goal....flies over there to play the championship and comes to hotel to tell them a defensive coach tested positive so his whole team cannot play....Got 200k bonus for being undefeated and 200k for winning a share of the sunbelt conference..that little bitch never was gonna play that game and got trolled by ESPN for bitching out of it...That is why you are not seeing his name anywhere,,,No one respects him or his program..

Jamey Chadwell wins 2020 AP Coach of the year

quote:

Coastal Carolina’s Jamey Chadwell is The Associated Press college football coach of the year after leading the Chanticleers to a surprising, near-perfect season… The 43-year-old Chadwell directed a breakout season for No. 9 Coastal Carolina (11-1) in his third year leading the program.

The Chanticleers were picked last in the Sun Belt’s East Division after finishing 5-7 (2-6) last year.

Seems like plenty of people respect him

Napier fan boys sure are mad. It’ll be nice to see them not posting on an LSU board when their favorite coach is hired elsewhere.

True enough, though he was supposed to play Liberty on December 5th. They cancelled due to covid concerns. When they played Liberty in their bowl game, they CCU lost.

Neither Napier nor Chadwell is likely to be the LSU head coach. If I had to pick one of those two I know who I would pick. I am not the one who would decide so that is irrelevant anyway.

Thing is there is forensic evidence at multiple stops that Aranda is a football savant. Napier seems to have a hive of people trying to will him to be the next Saban or something. I like Chadwell’s offense better but idk how it would translate to the SEC
