Yup, hearing roughly the same from my sources; hell they might be the same sources, its a small world in the booster community.

I think the ultimatum was actually smart because in their heart of hearts they know 1. They aren't winning a championship anyway and 2. Lane is likely to leave them anyway. So they protect their downside while exercising the only leverage they have to keep Lane - pressure and time. LSU and UF just happen to be the beneficiary as well.

I think so..I mean I get it, he felt the internet street cred dopamine rush and tried to blaze his own path (which hardly ever works). He continues to double down now. I don’t doubt he has a sauce but he’s put himself in a tough spot.
