Well expansion isnt over yet, Pac-10 only has 11 teams and if they take Utah, the Mt. West might add another to get back to 10. But at this point do you think this is accurate?

Winners-
1) Big 10 they added a top 10 football program, and now have 12 teams for conf. championship game.

2) Nebraska headed to the Big 10 which is a good fit all around. Maybe they will go back to an annual game with OU.

3) Notre Dame with all the shite going around and possible deals they didn't blink.

4) The SEC, even with the changes, they remain the top dog.

5) Big East you live to fight another day.

Losers
1) Pac-10 you over reached and ended up with broke Colorado, who has been cutting programs

2) Colorado you gave up long standing rivals (Nebraska, OU, Kansas, Kansas St.) that date back to the Big 8, for a conference that has a worse TV deal. Not to mention the Big 12 didnt disolve, you have to pay exit fees. Oh by the way you were already broke.

3)TCU don't count your chickens before they hatch. Coming out in the Forth Worth paper and saying that you would block Baylor from the Mt. West, well here's to Baylor making sure you wont be coming to the Big12.

4) Playoffs no mega conferences didn't help your cause.

5) Jerry Jones no 12 teams in the Big 12, means no Championship Game in your palace.

TBD
Mt. West you added Boise St. to get to 10, but if you lose Utah, you have actually lost ground. Had the added Boise, Kansas, Mizzou and keep Utah, they would have been the biggest winner.

Good synopsis. A winner to add - Texas, OU, and A&M getting more money than their conference brothers

I agree for the most part. Id add Kansas, Kansas St, Baylor etc. to the winners. And imo the only real big losers were colorado and the Pac 10.

but I wasn't sure if it was just a bandaid, and the conference might be in trouble in a few years if the money isn't there

The NCAA does have the authority to grant a waiver and allow the Big 12 minus minus to hold a championship game. If the TV networks force the issue (and they need more ad revenue to cover their overpayment to the Big 12 minus minus) they'll allow it to happen.

Will the rest of that conference really be better off by giving up a significant financial edge to their conference foes? I saw this a as a desperate grab by the Big 12 that will only temporarily hold off expansion talks. Eventually, the rest of the conference will have enough of the Pam Anderson sized BJs Bebe keeps giving to UT

don't forget the big 12 teams that were gonna be left out to dry. Now they get to stay in a bcs conference and get more money. Iowa State, K state, Mizzou, Baylor, and Kansas are doing flips right now

Pac10 will most likely add Utah to get their conference championship game.

Texas Tech seems to think they are a loser in all this.
PAC-10 might take advantage of this to try again...
