to put Memphis in a BCS conference . If theSEC goes to 16 teams I think it would be a good fit. If they only add 2 not so much . THey have a good basketball program and football would improve if the got in

Yeah, all we need is another bottom-feeder team. They are competitive in one sport and a sport that most SEC fans could care less about.

Memphis I believe went 2-10 in football last year in conference USA.
Memphis became a name in basketball because Cal went there as coach. It took him one year to do in kentucky what it took him years to accomplish at Memphis.
How many years do you really expect Memphis to stay at this level? They are no longer a top recruiting school.
They have a bad football team and soon they will have a bad basketball team.
In addition, any conference that takes memphis and takes the money will be branded a whore and blow the little cover that all this isn't just about the money.
I really don't understand what Memphis has going for it besides a donor with lots of money...

they actually have what is considered maybe the best recruiting classes coming in. they have three of the top 25 recruits LINK

Memphis basketball is pre-season top ten next year and had a top ten class this year. They had sucess before cal got there and their football team went to 4 or 5 straight bowl games in 2000's
