You'd lose one of Bama and UF with this for Tennessee. I just don't see that working.

Have to play Bama. But yeah, it probably won't work.

Ole Miss and State would never have a chance.

Again, this doesn't change that.

When the SEC goes to 14 teams, no matter what the schedule is, someone is going to be left whining. I still don't see a way to keep everyone happy. The question will eventually become: who do we care least about upsetting?

If it is indeed Mizzou as #14, then the cleanest choice is to just put them in the East. They are close enough to Vandy, UK, and Tennessee. A&M can be their permanent rival and we move to 9 conference games thus eliminating shitastic matchups like those against Towson.

NO WAY! The South is too power laden. East West makes more sense. aTm & Missou to West, Auburn to the East.

If Texas A&M and Missouri are #s 13 and 14, I say keep the divisions, add Missouri to the East with a perm rival of Ark. Texas A&M perm rival is USCe.

If we get two ACC teams in the future to take us to 16 we can revert Mizzou to the West.

BTW, if they do go North and South divisions, I love the "Upper" and "Lower" South names.

move Auburn and Bama to East and Vandy to the West and the problem is solved.

You can keep all cross-divisional rivalries and the balance of power shite is no worse than your proposed North/South split.

And gift wrap an conference championship berth every year to LSU with the MUCH MUCH MUCH MUCH easier SEC West each year? Now wonder you consider that "problem solved"

It's EXTREMELY simple. Missouri to the SEC East with Arkansas as their 1 common opponent. Problem solved.

With OU/OKSt in the mix a north - south division would be a better balance of power. Stand by!

SEC can't have North & South divisions... it has to be Upper South & Lower South

I agree. Anyone from the SEC would find it offensive to be placed in the North.

Even Vandy?

The best thing to do is to move Auburn to the East and forget about these stupid cross division rivalries.

You then have 3 home/away games against division opponents and 1 home/away game against a cross division opponent.

West
LSU
Arky
Bama
Ole Miss
Miss St
Mizzou
A&M

East
Florida
UGA
Auburn
UT
Vandy
Kentucky
USC

That is a decently even distribution. Then in seven years every team would have had a home and home with all teams from the opposite division. Also there are no stupid power discrepancies between cross division matchups. Eight games guarantees equal conference home and away games. No need to screw your own conference playing 9 games for no reason.

Also Auburn stated they would go east. Imagine the first Iron Bowl SECCG. That would be crazy.
