We are only here due to the High School Dance Team Nationals.
With the new fast pass system, and the new attractions, it sucks.
The fast pass system, called Lightning Lane, only allows you to get one fast pass per attraction per day, plus you can only pick one at a time, not three to start off. Plus, there’s two attractions per park that don’t fall under this system, and you have to buy individual fast passes for these attractions, between $9-$15 a person.
The new rides all suck. What’s up with Disney going with these rides where you just ride in a car, and basically watch a 3D movie (Ratatouille, Star Wars Rise of the Resistance, Mickey’s Runaway Train)?
The best rides in WDW are still Rockin Roller Coaster, Pandora, Space Mountain, and Tower of Terror. Star Tours is still the best Star Wars ride, and it’s wait time never gets over 10 mins. The two new SW rides have wait times of 60-150 mins each.
This will be my last time coming. The only reason I came this time is because of nationals.

Pick up anything you can sell on eBay?

If you were a preferred customer who spent a lot of money there then you would receive special perks and not think it went to crap

Just got back last week and I agree with all of this. Luckily we had a DAS pass so we skipped all lines. If someone in your party qualifies for one, I would highly suggest you go this route. Gamechanger!

Rise against resistance is not a 3D movie. You start by entering a ship and watch a 3D movie then you move through the experience to the ride that goes by computer programming and is the ride. The new rife M. Falcon is a better version of Star Wars. 7 dwarfs is a new ride and like thunder mountain. I loved there new system. Allows me to pay for what I want and keeps the other lines moving due to not as many fast

7 Dwarves is not new, probably 7-8 years old. It’s geared for the smaller kids. It’s a great ride, but boring if you are a roller coaster fan.
Thunder Mountain is a great ride, as well as Everest (which is down until April).
The two Star Wars rides are very good, but not worth 120+ minute wait. IMO, Star Tours is still better than those two, and the wait stays around 10 mins. I do like sitting in the cockpit of the M Falcon in Smugglers Run.

Rattouille, Mickey’s Runaway railroad, and Rise are all the same type of ride.

Last time I was at Universal Studios there were people everywhere wearing Disney garb. Its like they gave up doing anything at Disney and came over to Universal.

Not aimed at the OP or anyone in particular, but I understand taking your kids to Disney and Universal once, but more than that, seems like a waste of time and money.
There are thousands of real world experiences that you can expose your kids for many reasons. Most importantly to expand their horizons beyond getting a job so they too, can take their kids to Disney.

Genie + and Individual Lightening Lanes worked out great for us in January but we adapted our approach. Things have changed and trying to do the same thing you did under FP+ is not going to work out well most of the time.

We’ve been to the desert, Italy, beach, NYC, New Mexico, Texas, etc.
My daughters have experienced other things than WDW. Plus, I disagree with your statement because everyone should go twice. Your second time is much more enjoyable.

You literally stare at a screen in Pandora.
No Haunted Mansion, Pirates of the Caribbean, Peter Pan, Buzz Lightyear? List is suspect...

Disney is adding two new roller coaster rides this year. Tron and Guardians of the Galaxy.

Wow, I actually post on a message board with a Disney high roller.

It doesn’t work for us. We were the family that hits the park early go Standby, FP, SB, FP, SB, FP and then back to the resort pool by 2:00. Then dinner followed by drinks around Epcot until it closes. Can’t do that with the new system. They want you in the park all day and the new system establishes that.

Disney used to reward pure resilience and waking up early. You could accomplish so much by beating the crowd and simply outlasting people. It was a meritocracy.
Now you can get 1-2 extra rides by staying on property and showing up 30 minutes early that's about it. The Genie+ requires money AND an understanding of how to use it correctly. It's bullshite.
Went for 5 days in mid January with young children and accomplished everything we wanted to; had a great time. Spent a fortune. But by the last day at MGM it was crowded as all hell, every line in the park was >45 minutes and just wasn't fun.

I didn’t say those were the only good rides, I just said they were the best.
Hell, Toy Story Mania is better than the ones you listed.

You lost all credibility now.
I assume the wait time is really all you care about. Do you have this same logic at a fine dining restaurant and instead think McDonald’s is better because it’s quick?

It works perfectly for that if you book your Genie plus in the park you hop to and use standby for the park you rope drop. If you don't plan to hit the park at rope drop but still plan to hop you can still line up your Genie plus at the park you hop to and use the individual lightning lanes at the park you start in but if you rope drop you can save that money.
