They gave false hope that they would protect them when they had no business doing so. I certainly don't want to send American troops over there, but they should not have been lying that they would protect them. As long as Ukraine allowed them to use their country as a pass through to get them rich, they would keep whispering sweet nothings into their ears. And now when Russia shows up to push their shite, they are fricked.

It's already ugly and likely going to get much uglier.

This I agree with. Biden's regime talked and talked about how Russia is too scared of them to attack. They gave assurances and boosted Ukraine's confidence. If Ukraine knew that absolutely no backup was coming.. they may have surrendered.

I was going to post this exact thing. We started a fight with a bully and then ran when the bully fights back.

If it wasn’t for the war crimes Russia is committing I believe Ukraine would have negotiated with Russia once they understood none of their “friends” were coming to help them.

They still may.

Either Putin was taking it easy on them as a political move to get them to realize this, or Russia isn’t anything America should be afraid of.

Well it’s partly Ukraine’s fault too. They saw how Biden handled Afghanistan. They should have known not to believe him.

It blows my mind that people talk about war crimes after everything that we have done. Somehow US leaders get off because we make the rules

I'm 100% aware of the United States War Crimes, and we should be held accountable for them, the problem is there is no one to hold us accountable.

Of course they do. It was an occult blood ritual as well.

Biden literally stated he wouldn’t rescue US citizens in the former Ukrainian. And has demonstrated that he has no issue leaving citizens and allies to their fate when faced with an aggressive force. Anyone that believes Biden is going to do shite is delusional.

Biden, yes; NATO, no.

No one gave Ukraine the impression they they would be supported with NATO ground troops.

But Biden's financial shenanigans in Ukraine put Putin off. At least Trump went directly to Putin for his international banking needs, not Ukraine.

Perhaps if Biden hadn't gotten so greedy, Putin could've looked the other way. But in any case, Putin felt he had to secure his Crimean assets which he saw as more threatened under a Biden administration in DC than a Trump one.

That's true also.

Ukraine should've known we were full of shite and were only talking tough for domestic political purposes.

Russia knew we were full of shite. I guess Ukraine is under too much pressure to think straight.

I hope Ukraine negotiates a surrender. Because by themselves, they can't beat Russia. All they are doing is sacrificing their population for a lost cause. Surrender and regroup for a future attempt to regain control.

Eh, I think the OP is correct in a sense, but not really because of Biden. This would go back to Clinton.

Biden told Ukraine a full scale invasion was happening and Ukraine didn't want to hear about it. I mean, I understand why Ukraine practically and emotionally would want to delay that reality sinking in, but it nonetheless was warned extensively by the US.

Biden is the Biff of world politics. All talk and bravado until punched in the face, then he's just another simp.

False.

That idiot will blame it on Trump per usual and all would be good.

They used Ukraine to get rich and to push fake impeachment narratives.

I wouldn't sell him short. Perhaps he's a simp, perhaps not. In any case he has a lot of very powerful associates.

Sort of.

I see Biden and his progressive cronies as more like the loud-mouthed kid in school who only acted tough when the teacher was around to make sure he didn't get his arse kicked. They're flashy, brash and flamboyant solely because they believe they are beyond retaliation. They rattle their sabers in their expensive scabbards to get attention. Once that attention is granted, they quiet down like the mollified children they ape.

This is why Putin's attack caught them off-guard. In their world he would have continued to only make noisy posturings, maybe fire off a missile or two into the Black Sea (see: North Korea). Instead, he's proven himself to be far more of an old-school throwback who made threats with the full intention of following through on them if events happened a certain way.

And they don't know what the frick to do with that.
