I don't get on this board much so I don't know if we talk about MMA here. Picks for Saturday night? Or anyone know a good place to fire off takes? my friends are all casuals its not even worth discussing with them.

Should be a fun one. Hope Islam steps in to fight RDA. Need my guys Bryce Mitchell, Holland and Jorge to get it done

Islam's next bout will be a title shot so he has nothing to gain. Sucks that Fiziev is out because he is fun to watch and RDA would have been a good match up for him.

I kind of like the card, even with that bout off of it, some entertaining fighters lower down the card

Jorge to get it done

You're gonna be in the minority on this board on that one though

pumped for this PPV

it's so refreshing seeing a bad blood type of rivalry being used to sell the fight .... BOTH Covington and Masvidal GET IT .... they know what sells.

the first episode of Embedded was released earlier today and as expected it's full of craziness

(Colby kicking that kid at 3:49 is so on brand )

the press conference on Thursday will likely be better than the fight itself

Jordan Sherwood, can be found on various VSIN shows, and his own pick site, has crushed the last two big cards I've followed him(11-1). Sometimes is on with Mitch and Pauly,'s Follow the Money, sometimes with Gill Alexander & Matt Brown, sometimes Mike Palm,etc..highly recommend.

A modern day Joey Oddessa at capping MMA.

Barring a lucky shot, Colby is going to work Masvidal, and I love both fighters, but Covington would be a borderline all-time great if he didn't have a true all-time great standing in his way.

Colby is as tough as they come and is basically the only guy in their world who can give Usman a real fight.

Jorge got destroyed by the same guy.

It still has the potential to be an amazing fight, though.

Bc Usman has cracked the weight cutting code like no other. Most UFC fighters would be nearly unstoppable if they are fighting guys 25 pounds lighter than they are come the actual fight.

I don’t think Islam takes the RDA fight but if he does this card is incredible.

I give Jorge more of a shot than most people do, but wouldn’t consider him a favorite by any means

Usman isn’t anywhere near 25 pounds heavier than his opponents in the octagon wtf. He’s one of the bigger guys in the division but he fights at probably 195 and his opponents average somewhere around 185-190. He’s known as the best because he’s the most skilled at 170 by an extremely long shot, there’s an orders-of-magnitude skill discrepancy between the top grapplers in a given division and some random guy outside of the top 15. No clue why there’s so much disrespect towards him aside from his cringe personality

He already said he’s willing to do it at 170. I heard stories of how he smashes bigger guys in the gym so this wouldn’t be anything new. These Dagastanis are build different.

Also, one Sportsbook have Islam as a -400 favorite vs Olivera.

Praying we get islam RDA confirmation today. Both said they'd do it at 170 on twitter yesterday.

He’s next in line for title shot so I don’t see why he’d risk fighting RDA at 170. Seems like a bad career move

That may be true with other fighters but Covington and Mastival are notoriously small welterweights

Wait, so Islam is perhaps fighting a week after he just fought?
