LSU would likely be able to give him more playing time than Bama.
Blows my mind that anyone would ever transfer to Bama, as deep as they are at just about every position every year.

I think you just answered your own question..but if he comes we may have a shot.

It's good that they're getting on campus but early word is not great on him signing. Even with his Louisiana ties.

Steen already knows he will get immediate playing time. IMO, a solid NIL deal would likely influence his decision. It's time for one of the big-time LSU supporters to put their money where their mouth is. I'm talking to YOU Dudley DeBosier and Spencer Callahan ! Gordon has earned a lot of respect offering NIL deals to a half-dozen LSU players.

247 has him 100% going to UVA

His younger brother is at UVA. I'd take them both and offer the 2026 brother, too.

I knew his brother Joel O. Steen at divinity school

Not even in the picture if you look at his Dad's posts. He said about a month ago that Tyler is going somewhere he can sharpen his skills and improve his draft stock. UVA caught some attention early because his brother signed with them. This is not a deal for them to play together.
Dad also said Tyler will complete internship in April, commit, and report by summer.
