Only 1 win when scoring less than 6 runs

With bad defense and starting pitchers that have trouble going more than 4 innings, the hitting has to carry this team. When they don’t hit they lose. That is what this team will be all season. Expect more losses in game 1 against the better pitchers.
But the hitting is good enough to win games 2 and 3.

The pitching is getting better though. Let’s see what we get from Dutton and Hilliard again before we really get that label

The pitching isn’t the issue anymore. I think they got that figure out. It’s not conventional but it is effective. The defense is the issue. LSU should have won 5-0 last night. I know they didn’t give Morgan an error but all 6 of Auburn’s runs should have been unearned.

You can’t do the “mainenisnt walking through that door” the weekend after we shellacked Florida.

4-0 since we wouldn’t have batted in the bottom 9th. Hell, even if you give up those 2 runs in the big inning from Auburn and pull Money for Gervase or Collins, they likely don’t give up a 3 run bomb. Get out the inning 2-2 worst case

Starting pitchers are good enough without the defensive errors
