Have a full day to myself in Cleveland before I attend a training, any suggestions on what to do? Staying at the Crowne Royal at Playhouse Square and plan to walk to the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. TIA

The Winking Lizard is a nice sports bar with decent food. There is one in the Galleria Tower about a half mile walk from your hotel

If you like breweries and decent pub food ... skip the winking lizard and head over to the east side where the big, famous market is. Lots of good restaurants, shops and bars. Downtown is not great.

Rock n Roll is an obvious answer .... you don't have time to hit their Museum, but it's a world class facility courtesy of the Rockefeller's.

good music scene as well ... so check Pollstar to see if someone you might want to catch is in town.

Cleveland is an underrated town for a longer stay and certainly much better than a shithole, say like BR.

There is a US WWII submarine right next to the Rock and Roll museum. USS CODD I THINK. Not 100% sure on the name. It’s worth a quick walk over and you get to crawl through it. Rock and Roll museum. Christmas Story house, but it’s not close to downtown. Downtown on the Lakefront is nice and clean.

Casino downtown. There is also a really cool grocery store called Heinen's in a beautiful old bank that has the wine bar with the self serve samples using a card. Also the Marble Room is a nice place for a drink and/or dinner.

West Side Market is outstanding for food and gigantic apple fritters.

If you like corned beef or pastrami there is a good Jewish deli in Beachwood called Corky & Lenny's

Lots of good Italian restaurants in Little Italy. Warning-parking sucks

Rock Hall

Christmas Story House

Cleveland sign in Edgewater Park

Cuyahoga Natl Park
