I know we had a thread on LA fairly recently, but the new album came out today and I thought it worthy of its own thread…

I really like the album, but I can tell you right now, it is not going to be for everybody…it is a straight up prog concept album. If you’re a little depressed, don’t listen lol…stylistically, it covers a lot of ground. Steve Blaze’s guitar playing is good as usual, and I like the new (again) singer.

If you’re looking for early style Lillian Axe, you will be disappointed…but if you open your mind, you might like what you find. I did.

Fair assessment, Steve's been leaning that way for years now.

Great record IMHO, best experienced and enjoyed cover to cover like a good book or movie. And Steve's guitar tones are righteous

The more I listen the more I like it…every single song is great, and yes the guitar tones are fantastic…

I don’t know Steve personally, and I honestly don’t know much about him, but I can tell you that a concept album like this was years in the making…I would guess Steve worked on this project for a long, long time and it shows.

ETA: you really can’t give an opinion on this album until you’ve heard it, start to finish, 4 or 5 times…just too much going on…it is truly epic.

Definitely years in the making, 'I am beyond' and 'migrating north' have been around for over 20 years. Both were near life experience songs

Purchased the album on itunes today. Really didn’t have to because I get it through Apple Music, but bought it anyway because efforts like this need to be supported.

About the absorb this tomorrow. Heard some of the songs at the Mandeville gig. Definitely something deep there.
