I'm interested to see what Kelly does if he wins the coin toss against FSU

I watched almost every one of Brian Kelly's games when he was the ND coach and one thing that always annoyed me was his propensity to take the kickoff instead of deferring. I think I can count on one hand the times he chose to defer.

Yeah, I much rather have the ball in the 2nd half. Especially in big games where offenses might stall a bit more early on.

Too bad it hasn't worked out for him...
To think, if he had listened to you all these years, instead of being the 3rd active winningest coach, maybe he'd be 2nd.

It will be interesting after the coin toss too.

I'm really interested to see how Coach acts during the coin toss. To me, this will make or break the season.

People are going to overreact to the first game so unbelievably. He will either be the next Saban or the worst coach ever to like 80 percent of people after just one game in a ten year contract.

coin toss rant is the worst rant

Well I don't know how many losses you could tie to it, probably very few, but I think it made many games closer than they needed to be.

Sean Payton always wanted the ball
Coin toss means nothing
Teams end up with same number of possessions anyway

Man, I'm tired of these responses. FFS.
Are you really trying to tell people to not have an opinion on something like this?

No, where did I say he couldn't have an opinion?
And, aren't you doing that with your response to me?
My response, if you could read through your tears, was simply saying that his current approach has paid off pretty well for him.
My apologies for not wholeheartedly agreeing with him while skipping down the road. He didn't get butt-hurt over it, so not sure why you are?

Probably will be more than a 50/50 chance he will annoy you.

The guy you are replying to is a little salty since he got destroyed in the press conference thread after melting over Kelly not naming the starter.

Oh, he's one of THOSE...

I don't see why anyone would get upset over no starter name. Seems childish. We will see soon enough.

He'll receive. That's always the smartest option imo.

AHHHHH, Thank god the off-season will soon be over so these type of threads will go away!! It’s time to get back to rooting for the back up QB, and arm chair coaching!!!!
