Went missing on Saturday, August 20th in Tucson, Arizona, Luke Bell was found today from an apparent suicide after a long struggle with bipolar disorder.

Horrible. By all accounts Luke was a great guy. Super talented.
He was relatively unknown on a “mainstream” level but everyone in the independent country music scene knew and respected Luke bell. Sad loss for music.

Always liked his music since I discovered it on Saving Country Music several years ago. RIP.

My brother sent me a live video of Fast Luke and the Lead heavy years ago from Austin and I tried following him for what seemed like 5 or 6 years and picked up a few things here and there on the internet.
It seemed like every time I’d find something it would get taken off the internet shortly after.
I kept following him and downloaded his album as soon as it came out.

Luke Bell was one of those 'Saving Country Music' patriarchs and now he's gone way too early. His sound was old old school country but with modern charm and songwriting. Dammit man. Where ya been? was my favorite.
