Why tf yall keep comparing Kelly's first season to Sabans?

Brian Kelly is not Nick Saban. This LSU program gets talent coming in every year. No excuse to come out that flat with zero emotions from the head coach as the beating continued. What a waste of God damn money bringing in this toolbag head coach.

Lol we just had a mediocre recruiting class after having less than 40 scholarship players. This team is way worse than what Saban inherited. Don’t be mad at Kelly because your expectations were retarded.

I think there needs to be some balance. Kelly’s demeanor reminds me a lot of Harsin’s at Auburn. Players feed off of energy, and having the right kind of energy is important. I disagree with those saying Kelly was emotionless, as he was clearly upset multiple times, but I also thought he was stoic during several situations that the team could have benefitted from his energy.

We lacked depth, but I disagree with this notion. Saban’s 2007 team was the only Bama team in the last 50 years to not have a single player drafted. They had one first round draft pick on their entire roster, Andre Smith, who was drafted the following year.

Seems to me his calm demeanor helped keep the team focused and likely helped facilitate their ability to come back how they did. I’m not sure what people who think he should have acted like an enraged lunatic believe would have improved by doing so. It would have kept a punt from being muffed and/or a xp from being blocked how?
