"Bandwagon" Bashers are Wrong. And Here is Why...

I’m tired of hearing people on here bashing supposed “Bandwagon” fans. And all of you that call yourselves “true” fans need to get perspective back in your lives.
If your sun rises and sets with the goings on of LSU football, you need perspective back in your life. With the economy being what it is, LSU should consider itself fortunate that people choose to spend what little discretionary income they have on their sports teams. If LSU struts out an inferior product, then people are welcome to do what they wish, since it was their money they spent.
The LSU team that we saw on the field yesterday was not of superior quality; therefore people chose not to continue watching. I fail to see how that is any different from walking away from a movie that you rented and then decided, halfway through it, that it wasn’t something you wanted to continue to watch. “But the players and coaches feel like they are not supported?” you may be saying to yourself. And? Those people are not your family and you don’t have to support them when they are failing. You don’t talk to any of them personally on a day to day basis, so it’s not up to you or those that left to be a support structure for their hurt feelings.
If my wife or kids are down, then I will be there through thick and thin. But until one of my kids becomes a member of an LSU sports team, I’ll continue to understand that those coaches and young men on the field are a source of entertainment. I doubt Les Miles defines himself as a football coach first and husband and father second, or that the players define themselves as football players first and sons second. So why would you define yourself as a fan over anything else?
The criticism baffles.
Let the flaming begin.

All I know is that the D really sucks and Lee has some growing pains to get through.

I don't disagree with you, but I don't lose sleep over it either.

Really? If these people are so worried about spending their very little discretionary income on LSU tickets, you would think they'd want to get 4 quarters worth. It boils down to the people who refer to LSU as "we" when we're winning and "they" when we're losing. There will always be fair weather fans in every sport, it would just be nice if they could hide their true colors until the clock hits 0:00.

Can't see how it matters whether they stay four quarters or not. It would seem that when they make the choice to leave they have gotten whatever value they wanted to out of their money.
And LSU surely is happy to take their money whether they refer to themselves as "we" or "they."

To me, the people who care enough to question what is happening, and knowledgeable to realize there are serious issues are the "real fans". Those who pretend, or don't know enough to question that there are serious issues are fairweather.

There's a difference in questioning the problems and some a-hole walking out of the game in the 3rd quarter screaming ya'll suck, ya'll are horrible.....

No, we just want to keep people happy and not notice things that need to be improved. You think Les Miles is sitting with his coaches today and saying, "Hey guys, we all did a great job yesterday!! Let's keep up the good work." I doubt it, he is acknowledging the mistakes and doing his best to fix them.
LSU fans acknowledge the mistakes by leaving. I have no problem with that.

Wow. You are one cold person.
You are the epitomy of "bandwagon." I hope you never experience victory on a non-family member's behalf again. LSU does not need your negativity. You make me sick. Take your money and shove it. And please dont grace the stadium with your sour arse anymore. If sorry people like you dont try to get tickets, then there will be less real fans stuck outside the stadium when kick off begins. You are an inferior product of a person.

uhhhhhhhhhh...because a football team youve loved for generations is slightly more important than a bad movie???
ugh..
ugh..

Most people here aren't stating something is wrong. Most people here are bitching and whining about stuff they don't know.

Its not. But I applaud your effort to search for a topic like "whats most important in your life" to get the bashers off your back. Suck it up. You are a fairweather.

Perhaps I am fairweather, but many on here are zealots. So I guess that makes it even.

And that is what makes you a BANDWOGONER!! LSU isn't my life but it is my love! And not just LSU FB LSU!! Those players have their families but without fans and support why would anyone be there. If everyone gets tired of their team and stops coming then the program would shut down and be no more idiot. People still go because that is their school through thick and thin. I don't talk to those players or know them personally but bet you arse I would do anything for any of them including the coaches..b/c like we say in the south it is a RELIGON!!! JUMP OFF THE WAGON WHEN IT PASSES A CLIFF!

CollegeFBRules = Mr.
Many fans are passionate about LSU football. If you not that is fine, but it certainly makes you a fairweather fan.
