I need to figure out how to overlay the DJIA chart prior to '08 to the current chart. They are eerily similar. Head and shoulders chart with a nice bounce, then a crash. Just saying......

Obviously this is a totally different situation than 08. The problem I see is that stocks really aren't all that cheap even after the 20'ish% decline we've had. The S&P multiple is still around 19x. The historical average is 15-16x I believe. There are individual stocks that look attractive to me though.

It’s way worse. Instead of the Feds and banks artificially inflating the housing market, we have the Feds inflating every aspect of the market.

thanks for weighing in. your post gives me great clarity that we are in for a prolonged dip in the market and shorting gold and long oil exploration would be a wise move.
