Lone win vs Morocco
Drew against Saudi Arabia, Uruguay and Mexico (all scoreless games)
Losses against Canada, Costa Rica, and Japan
3 goals for (all against Morocco)
6 goals against
6 games without a goal, aka only scored in 1 game

These are absolutely shocking statistics. We have 1 more tune-up against SA who also qualified, but regardless there is nothing encouraging about us heading into the tournament. What's worse is Gregggggs stubbornness about the system and how Pefok doesn't fit, but based on the numbers above neither do any of our other strikers. I'm concerned we'll go out in the group without a goal.

Added the Saudi game to the stats. 6 out of 7 games without a goal.

You mean the game where Cannon, Long, and Ferreira looked like shite, and Weah was our offensive star?

Just a reminder:
The hiring of Gregg is nothing but nepotism.
The USSF is a joke of an organization, and doesn’t care about growth of American soccer.

Let us not also forget, we qualified for the WC by goal differential, 3rd in our table. If we’re going to talk realistic expectations, we may be the weakest in our WQ group.

Such a shame too because even with the complete disregard for the growth of the sport here it has grown so damn much. We have dudes jumping to some top European leagues for the first time.

The overwhelming majority of our WC starters (on paper) play in Europe's top 5 leagues.

Now imagine a federation that actually gave a frick. I would imagine it would look like at least 90% of the players called up at any given time would be playing in big time leagues.

This is the most talented pool in US history yet I felt more confident with a bunch of MLSers going into the 2010 WC

Is anyone happy with their federation? I mean worldwide.

Yeah not buying that, there are 4 data points in the last year and a half that says we’re head and shoulders better than Mexico.

We had the best xG and xGA of anyone in the entire WCQ campaign also.

Maybe...at home...in front of home crowd...head to head...but the only data point that matters is the group ranking...3 points behind Mexico.
