Seem like all the first year head coaches are struggling. So don’t get down on HCBK. Most are making do with what they inherited. Miami, OU,Florida, notre dame. Only team seem to be doing fine is usc bc he damn near brought the whole team with him from OU.

1st year coaches always struggle if they inherit a program in disarray.
Some of our fans are idiots.

I’m fine with struggling for a year or two but his decisions are confusing.

JD isn’t a QB that will make the transition easier. He won’t win games with a bad team and he isn’t the quarterback of the future so why start him?

Saban struggled his first year at LSU with far more talent on the team.

Understatement of the year. Kinda feel sorry for those that can’t enjoy the rebuild. It’s part of the process.

5 games into the 1st year it's typical and acceptable for one of the highest paid coaches in College Football to field a team on national television that:

1. Defensively Is confused by a no-huddle offense and unable to substitute players without penalty?
2. Repeatedly unable to get offensive plays called and communicated to all players on the field?
3. Several false start, illegal formation, illegal substitution penalties on offense
3. Consistently for WEEKS, with NO IMPROVEMENT, routinely messes up all facets of Special Teams play.
4. WR's drop several passes per game
5. O Line missing blocking assignments on plays leaving multiple defenders to blitz the QB untouched.

This is all just normal 1st year job performance? Because, I watch a lot of college football, and the only team I saw playing like this today was LSU.

I’m just pointing out you said Notre Dame and how their 1st year head coach is making do with what he inherited. Who exactly did Freeman inherit that program from?

Right. I mean, the program was in disarray. That’s the whole reason he was hired. He inherited a depleted roster and there have been injuries. This isn’t complicated except for lsu fans who legit expected to contend this year.

He inherited a program from Brian Kelly that was on the verge of making the playoff last year. Freeman is in over his head as a HC. Kelly is a proven winner.
