Looking at buying tickets for an upcoming concert at the Pavillion in Houston, and considering the Pit Area option.

For anyone who knows, can you confirm that the Pit Area is considered general admission bc there are no assigned seats (first come, first served), but a seat does exist for all Pit Tickets sold? I have a pregnant wife and prefer to confirm she can sit as needed.

Also, I’m assuming the Pit Area has a good view but would appreciate any input anyone can provide.

Thanks in advance!

Yes it is GA. Not a bad seat in the place. It is one of my favorite venues, right up there with Red Rocks.

Thank you for the response!

In looking at the seating chart and reading online, it appears there is a seat for every Pitt Ticket sold? Can you confirm that?

I have only had reserve seating and have not been in the pit. I believe it depends on the show. They probably add chairs at times.

I've always enjoyed the shows I've seen there. Sound was amazing and even in the summertime the heat was bearable with the fans going.

Depends on the show. Some are GA (usually standing) and some have assigned seats. What show is it? I can probably find out.

Usually the pit is standing; no seats.

“Rain or Shine”

They fricking mean it. Sat in the woodlands mall parking lot. Back when you parked there. Watching lightning crack all around us. We took the loss. Sitting on an open hillside in the middle of a thunderstorm? No thanks.

They don't play shows in lightening. They postpone and make everyone get under the cover. I don't even think you are allowed in the plaza area where the concessions are. I don't even know for sure if they play during heavy rain. They just delay the show. Typically they have to be done playing by 11pm, but if it's severe weather, they will push it back if possible. I know the Bob Seager had that happen a few years back.

For Chris Stapleton, the pit is GA and no seats. As someone else said, the lower rows of 107 and 108 are great seats. No one really in front of you and center stage. I am lucky that I get to sit there often. If you really want to be up front, it's 102 you want to get in, but likely pricey seats. The lawn is great this time of year for shows that aren't too crowded, but I think that's a relatively well selling show.
