Would think most of the WC venues will also host this event. Hope that's not the case.

I remember hoping back in 2016 that it would eventually lead to a dual confederation tournament to try and rival what the euros have. This makes those hopes come back

In 2016, the venues were Seattle, Santa Clara, LA, Phoenix, Houston, Chicago, Orlando, Philly, NY, Boston.

I don't see anyway Dallas isn't hosting matches this time. Vegas too, since it didn't get the World Cup.

One interesting thing to note is that Morocco was confirmed to be an "invited guest" for the 2024 Copa. Hopefully that is still the case even with 6 CONCACAF teams joining the fray. Need as many possible "good" matchups this cycle as we can get.

Good grief… if we play the next 4 years just right, we could make one helluva run in ‘26.

If we ended up with Mourinho, made it to the Copa finals or semis, we could then be faced with the decision of keeping him or getting another top notch manager for the actual WC.

I am not of the belief that Mourinho would “stale” after a couple years because he wouldn’t be with these guys every day.

I tend to think his managerial style is a plus for coaching internationally. He is intense as hell, straightforward, and drives his players to be the same. Sometimes in an extreme way. But the players would have long breaks between that and likely would hold respect for him better.

could be a few different, but I'm sure most will be the same.

Gay

We need to test ourselves down in South America

But they know they will make bank with how much more they can charge for tickets in the US market

If we hire Jose and make the Copa semis, we're going to need Danielle Reyna to find some dirt on him because there's no way in hell we're going to hire one of the most famous current managers and then part with him before the World Cup after making a deep Copa America run.

I expect cities with large South American expat populations to host. You could do four groups clustered in a geographic area for their three matchdays to limit travel:
Northeast: Boston, New York, Philly
Southeast: Atlanta, Orlando, Miami
Midwest: Kansas City, Dallas, Houston
West: LA, San Francisco, Seattle
Miami will probably get the championship.
