After being in the stands Saturday I am convinced that the majority of our fans are borderline retarded.

you people are fricking amazing .. the guy gives us two SEC titles, two BCS bowl wins, a national championship and literally puts LSU on the tip of the tongue of all national college football discussion to this day ... hell, he admitted himself that he made a "professional mistake" leaving LSU .. what exactly did he "do" to LSU ?? since he's left, we've won 11, 11, and 12 games in '05, '06, '07 .. i mean frick .. you guys do know a LITTLE about LSU football history i'd assume ..

I never said I hated him. Do I think he is a douchebag for what he did? Yea, but come on, after reading the stuff on this board today, what do you expect. After last year when the crowd chanted FU Spurrier, what do you expect? Expecting our idiot fanbase to welcome him back with open arms and singing his praise is like inviting Hitler to a brisque.

actively tearing down the current program during his first recruiting season at alabama was pretty shitty.
it will all be forgiven in enough time. remember paul dietzel left for Army after winning the 1958 title and ended up coaching against us at South Carolina in the 60's. it's all forgotten now, but he certainly was hated in the moment.

How about Channel 2 reporting live from a bonfire Friday night to "burn Saban." I think they had a whopping 100 people there. Very embarrassing.

I know most of the people on this board do not like Kirk Herbstreet but.. he summed up it best on gameday... LSU hates Saban because we are jealous that he's not here any longer. Say what you want but that's the truth. The feeling back before Saban left was that LSU was building a dynasty. Loaded with talent etc... Now, the man who was going to build a dynasty at LSU is coaching in Tuscaloosa about to build a dynasty over there.
