It began with a rumor.
Sir Maejor, an ethnically black actor, tweeted Monday “I am being told that Tyre Nichols was in a relationship with and worked at a Memphis @FedEx with #MemphisPolice Demetrius Halys’s ex-girlfriend & baby mama.” Not only that, but “After the beating Officer Halys took a pictures of #TyreNichols face and sent it to his babymama.”
The following day, Maejor added a disclaimer in all caps: “THIS IS MERELY SPECULATIONS AND OR A RUMOR AT THIS POINT — THIS INFORMATION HAS NOT BEEN CONFIRMED.”

Now, newly released documents sent to a Tennessee state board as part of the decertification process for the five former officers confirm that Demetrius Hall did indeed photograph Nichols after the beating, and he sent the images to at least six people, including “one female acquaintance.”
The confirmation of a possible personal aspect to the beating is leading some to question the official narrative — that Tyre Nichols was just another unarmed black man murdered by poorly trained, brutal, racist police officers.
Former NAACP counsel and Senior Fellow at the Ford Foundation Sherrilyn Ifill took to Twitter to demand the full story be told:quote:LINK

It’s mind boggling that four other officers may have gone along with it.
The one officer (Demetrius Hall)? While horrible, it’s not beyond the scope of possibility to imagine it.
But the other four?
That’s just plain nuts.

When you claim all cops are violent racist pigs, all that apply for the job is gonna be that kina person.
Short story - I knew some cops when i owned a convience store in B'ham.
The best one in my opinion was an x MP that would give a guy a break if he did as instructed. He was after the really bad violent criminals. Not trivial j walkers.

That SCORPION Unit was virtually an all black unit and there’s a mountain of complaints filed against them, all the complaints against them were registered by black residents in and around Memphis. This all took place over a month ago under the watch and command of a black, female Chief of Police and fricking crickets for her head on a plate. THEY KNOW exactly what took place, their was a white officer who originally tasered him and another officer on scene whom has been in essentially protected custody, as his name has never been released and his testimony was essential to the incident.
