Not sure why the laugther, Atl. Yes PG is indulging himself with that comment, but PG for the longest was(and still has many moments) one of the best defenders in the league.

Nobody slows down the top guards and wings like Herb. NBA has a been a guard dominated league for a while now, it’s strange that DPOY is always titled towards bigs.

We were 6th in defensive rating. If our offense was better and we were higher in the rankings, Herb might’ve gotten a DPOY campaign like Smart last year.

While both are extremely important, the ability to guard an elite wing in iso seems a bit more valuable imo than rim protection.
