Not usually in a civil case when awarding large damages.
Juries usually deliberate over each aspect of the damages and what to award if they are going to hand out big money.
They have to discuss actual liability first, which takes time, and then what those damages are worth.

I suspect he probably had relations with this lady. I suspect they were shite faces when they did it. There is something to it but I also think she has been pushed to come forward.
