Has anyone been through here in the last month or so? Wondering if it's still really messed up getting in and out of there?

Thanks for the heads up. We're flying through Amsterdam on the way back from Norway in August. Hopefully it's 100% by then.

We flew in/out at the end of April.
(If you mean getting in/out by car)
We had a car service pick us up and drop us off and didn't have any out of the ordinary regarding getting in/out.
(If you mean flying in/out)
We had no issues getting in, but had a roughly 30-minute delay for our departing flight.
Otherwise, besides the BA desk not being properly staffed, everything else was pretty normal. Maybe a little longer than usual process exiting customs, but nothing too bad...

Thanks Rummel. I did mean just getting processed through the airport. I know last year was a nightmare with queues going out of the terminal.
Thinking of heading there for a quick trip this Memorial Day weekend. 30 min isn't bad at all!

I'm going back through in August and September. In May of 2022 it was a shitshow but I haven't heard the horror stories yet this year that we did last year

Awesome...thank you. I think we are going to zip over for the weekend.

Be aware that the taxi time between when you land and before you get to a gate was close to 45 minutes when I flew in (pre-pandemic). Since you're not there for business, and don't seem to be connecting anywhere, it shouldn't be an issue. Do take that into account if someone thinks they need to pee on descent though.

I've flown into Schipol a few times and never experienced that.

I only flew in there once (original flight to BRU via ORD was delayed, so I just asked for the next flight to the area, which was IAH-AMS), but there was no weather to speak of, or anything going on. Maybe they were runway restricted to do wind, but it was at least 20 minutes longer than any taxi I've ever had, hub or not.
I missed my meeting in Brussels and ended up having to do it over the phone in a rest area parking lot.

I just googled it an Schipol has 6 runways and one of them is 5 km away from the gates. Probably the one you landed on.

We had a long layover there first week of May and had time to go into the city. Cleared customs in 5 min. and security coming back through was 15-20min.
If you have Priority Pass or something like a Sky Priority ticket you’ll get way shorter lines as well. Most of the wild issues you hear about seem to be the lines to check bags.

Sounds like you got the Polderbaan, which might as well be in another territory. It makes Atlanta's 5th runway look like SFO or LGA.

Flew Delta in/out in April. Coming in we landed at the farthest runway and it took about 20 mins to taxi in. Off the plane first and after a 10 min walk to customs it took us about 30 mins to get through- only one officer working.
Went to baggage claim, bought round trip bus tickets for the 397 bus to Amsterdam city center while we waited, grabbed our bags, walked out the front directly on to the bus and we were at our hotel within 90 mins of deplaning.
Stayed at the Amsterdam Marriott- the Leidesplein stop on the bus drops you off directly across the street from the hotel entrance.
A week later when we left we walked a block down to the bus stop heading back to the airport, hopped on, and we were at the baggage drop within 20 mins. Had sky priority so no lines for checking bags and about a 30ish min wait for security. Boarding took a little while because the delta flight home was operated by KLM, and some bullshite with the stupid vaccine requirements for foreigners entering the US.
Schipol isn’t the fanciest or most beautiful airport in the world (besides the KLM Lounge) but I could not have been more pleased with the experience in customs, baggage claim, checking bags, and security.

I've taken that bus a few times, its a good deal and very quick. We usually stay in the Overtoom area behind that Marriott.

I fly thru Schiphol every other month and things have gotten significantly better since last fall. The long lines last summer and fall were due to Security staffing shortages and they seem to have gotten back close to normal times.

Schiphol KLM lounge is fantastic!

The key is having your boarding pass in on your gate number with the latest information from your app for your airline and ensuring that you are arriving in plenty of time per your airline requirements
Just don’t fall into the trap of standing behind the first large group of people you see immediately when you enter the airport area.
If lost, ask the first uniformed Schiphol representative or information desk you see and proceed from there.
You airline exit or entry gate may be quite a long walk to or from the main airport exit to the AMS Schiphol train station, so take that into account
