Manitou Springs is a cool little hippy mountain town just on the other side of Pike's Peak.
Just know that their Pueblo village was taken from Cortez and reconstructed.

Gardens of the Gods is a must, but go on a weekday to avoid crowds. Hit Pike's Peak (If you've never been above 14k feet, considered bringing oxygen). Run over to Cripple Creek and stay at the Black Monarch Hotel which has rooms themed after Tesla, Bela Lugosi, and serial killers.

Over Memorial Day the wife and I rented ATVs from Great Outdoor Adventures in Westcreek. We had a blast.

You need to give us something here. There is a LOT of things to do in the area. It all depends on what type of activates you like.
If you like planes or war memorabilia, there is Dragon Man and/or the aviation museum (and a private restoration company that mostly specializes WW2 planes).
You could go hike at Mueller state park or check out the wolf sanctuary near-by. We've been there a few times for the feedings/howling.
Manitou Springs (as mentioned previously) is an interesting place. They have a 'penny arcade' (although most machines take quarters) that has a wide range of very old arcade machines.
Mollie Kaltheen Gold Mine in Cripple Creek.
Take a drive down Mt. Herman road from Monument to Woodland Park.
As far as Pike's Peak goes you can drive to the top or take the cog train. When we went up last time (2021) there was VERY little parking at the top. We were allowed to park due to having a child in a booster seat. Most everyone else had to park a little over half way up and ride a shuttle the rest of the way. I believe that has changed now and most people can park at the top.
You could also check out the Air Force Academy. Just check the status of the chapel. Regretfully, we never got to visit it. Every time we went up there, it was unavailable (weddings, funerals, and last time renovations).
Cliff Dwellings, Painted Pots, Cave of the Winds, etc....
People have thrown out several other good ideas. Also if you're not used to altitude, drink water until you feel like you'll throw up. It will help mitigate the altitude sickness and headaches.
My parents used to live there so we visited several times during the summer and Christmas/New Years. The only activity we ever did that we didn't care for was a tour of Glen Eyrie Castle.

Not sure if these have been mentioned yet:
- US Olympic Training Center (right in the middle of the city)
- The zoo there is one of the nicest zoos that I've been to.
- Also, the North Pole amusement park is really good if you have kids with you.

Just know that the cliff dwellings are a replica, not the real thing. They were a huge let down for us. We were in and out within about an hour.

Check out Seven Falls and also the Seven Bridges trail at the North Cheyenne Canon Park (two separate places) but both very cool. There's a nice restaurant next to Seven Falls, called Restaurant 1858.

Just got back from a trip there Sunday. My wife had a work conference so we stayed at the Broadmoor. If you can swing it, stay there, its awesome.
Garden of the gods is a must see.
We did the Pikes Peak Cog Railway, I would probably skip that and just drive to the top if you have a car. The train just goes so slow. It was in the 30s and still had a foot of snow at the top this week.
After we got off the cog railway I did the Manitou Incline which is like 2700 steps straight up a mountain. It sucked but was fun-ish. That will take 2-3 hours going up and coming back down.
Hit Manitou Springs after that and its a really cool town that I wasn't even expecting to be there. I think they have like 15 ice cream shops within a 5 block radius. The old school outdoor arcade is cool.
The zoo there is pretty nice. We live in Houston so I wasn't expecting it to be as big as houston's zoo, but it isn't far from it and I felt like we were able to get more up close to a lot of animals. Also nice going to a zoo in the 70s instead of 90s in Houston.
Last time we went we did Cave of the Winds which my kids loved, but was kinda meh for adults if you have been in a cave before.
Did seven falls last time we went. Don't remember how much it costs, but it was cool as long as you aren't afraid of height and climbing really tall stair cases.
Streetcar 520 was a really good restaurant.
