How have security lines been at MSY lately?

Got a flight out Wednesday morning around 9am… trying to figure how early I should arrive?
Will also be checking bags. Flying southwest

Midweek - arrive 90 minutes before flight.

Never check bags but besides that 40minutes should get you to the gate

Saturday 2 weeks ago at about 9:00 am it took about 30 minutes.

Had a flight 2 Thursdays ago at 7 AM and it took my MIL 45 minutes or so to get through. Clear had us through in 5 since they had the dog sniffing. One of the longest non-holiday lines I had seen.

It is really all about timing. There are time where the regular line has no one, and times where it is a 45 minute wait.
The parking garage on campus has been full lately too, so if you need to do USPark or the economy lot, add extra time. For a 9am flight I would recommend getting there at 730.

I prebooked a spot in the garage, so I should be good there. Supposedly it'll guarantee you a spot.
Thanks for all the feedback. Would ideally like to get through security in time to grab breakfast before boarding.
