What will salvage this season for you?

Is there anything that will salvage the season for LSU fans?
I think a win at Ark followed by solid defensive performance against a good offense in the bowl game will give the team momentum.
A bowl win against a decent team is absolutely critical to start the 09 season on a good note.

Miles clearly articulating what the issues are with the team, what he is going to do about it and then following through.

I just can't justify losing a game to make the coaches look bad. Miles has seen enough to make his decision.

well they could still win with a bad performance by the D, depending on who they play

Win the next two games, finishing with 9 wins, Jefferson playing well at QB or at least showing some growth, The 2 DC's replaced at the end of the season along with maybe the d line coach.

Right and that's exactly why I think the D needs to win us a game this year.
Preferably with the co-DCs gone but that's not likely to happen until the offseason.

Nothing. The season is a failure no matter what happens from here on out.

Our bowl game will have little to do with how the '09 season goes. We either get rid of the DCs and have a good season next year, or we don't and we don't.
And besides, I'm trying to think of a decent team that we could beat.

I'd like to see the defense make some freaking tackles. They get there awfully quick, but then they just hang on for dear life and ride the ball carrier for another 5-6 yards. Or they try to deliver a decleater with their shoulder on every play, and then chase the ball carrier down from behind after they finally turn around and figure out that they didn't make the tackle.
Oh what about 3 guys on special teams with their hands on the returner fail to bring him down. Or Snead breaking arm tackles and running for 25 and 30 yard gains. That shite has got to stop!

Pretty much sums it up.
I think JJ having a good game next week would help too. JJ showing some solid hope for the future. He did have glimpses of hope yesterday.

A win over Arkansas, a bowl win, not lose any recruits, Meyer goes to Notre Dame and Saban slips and falls into his pond at the lake house again but this time isn't rescued.

Put a complete game together and beat the pants off the Hogs. Then name a new DC before the bowl game . Go to the Chicken Bowl adn put a beat down on Fla St.
