Do you think LIV is genuinely a good product?

Personally I am not a fan, and it’s not because of saudi involvement. I just genuinely find it uninteresting, and it feels like an exhibition rather than professional golf. The team format just feels so forced and it feels so unserious. I also think the PGA Tour is a bad product, and there are so many bad/boring events, but it’s infinitely more interesting than LIV. In other words, LIV is flooding an already shite product, with more shite.

It's really good golfers playing golf to win a tournament/money. To the average viewer, I fail to see how it "feels" more like an exhibition than any other golf event.
There are plenty of legitimate reasons to dislike LIV, but the "exhibition" argument is tired and stupid.
Exhibition: "a display or demonstration of a particular skill". Now, how is that different from any other golf you watch?

I don't mind them, and put them on the same level as a John Deere or 3M tournament. Pretty top heavy talent wise. I do like the shotgun starts from a viewing window perspective. I think tournaments like the Memorial or Arnold Palmer are significantly better.
The only tournament I thought that was particularly interesting was the team final last year at Doral. Having one 2 person group going off for each team with two individuals playing was kind of cool. I am also a sucker for different formats, so constant 72 hole stroke play gets monotonous for me.

I dont like the music playing during the broadcast makes it hard to hear what they are saying. It would be like if they let the crowd noise play during a football broadcast.

This is actually the part I hate the most. Strongly dislike the shotgun start. It's hard to keep up with where everyone is. I like seeing the final groups go through the last stretch of holes after everyone else on the PGA broadcasts, with no one else on the course just focused on those groups.

The PGA tour needs better announcers. Never thought I'd say this, but Faldo was pretty damn good compared to what we have now. The US Open was damn near hard to watch. As much as I like Azinger as a player and person, he sucks at announcing. Other than the majors, I have to say neither tour is putting out that much of an entertaining product to watch. The LIV has too much going on and the PGA tour doesn't have enough. It's kind of a weird transition we are in. I'm looking forward to the Open. It's always been my favorite major to watch. Just something about waking up in the morning and turning on a major championship.

I agree, Faldo was pretty good. We will really miss Nance one day.

Also, not that I dislike Rory, but the media is doing all the other PGA players a disservice by showing Rory 90% of the time. I've watched live from the open all week, and it's all they talk about.

It's garbage and has created a big split in the golf world which will take longer to heal than you think.
The PGA Tour shouldn't have anything to do with anything Saudi unless it's a PGA Tour/European Tour event co-sanctioned tour event (Dubai Desert Classic) like it has been in the past.
For me, golf is over for the year since the Open is completed. So stupid to move the PGA Championship from August to May.
Fedex playoffs have always been a farce. Leading money winner should decide the Tour Championship. Ridiculous that one player starts at -10 to begin a tournament. That's not pro golf.
The concept of Team Golf is asinine. Ryder Cup is fine, but that's it.
