How’s everybody feeling on Bijan?

When the fantasy rankings first came out I thought it was crazy they had him ranked in the top 10 picks. He’s a rookie, in a back field that already has a 1000 yard rusher in Algier who’s not just going to go away, and a 3rd back in Patterson who has been productive when healthy, on a team notorious for not utilizing their top weapons.
However, the hype train has not slowed down and “experts” are convinced he’s going to be a stud this year. I’ll admit im starting to buy in when considering how Barkley and zeke were league winners their rookie years, but that dosent make the above facts untrue. I understand he’s running behind a legit o line, also. I have the 8th pick so I’m in prime position to take him. Just not sure if I want to risk it or not. I’ve been burned on rookies in the past (bishop sankey, Melvin gordon, ronald Jones) but none were hyped as 1st rounders.

i have him in 1 league, with 2 more drafts left, i hope to grab him late in the first round- we do a pick where you want to draft, so i would go bijan late 1st round & come back with st brown in the second, i think that would be a pretty good start

Every single RB selected in the top 10 of the NFL draft has had a top 10 RB finish in fantasy in their rookie year. 100% of them.

The issue with Bijan is he’s going as the RB3 in Redraft with an ADP of 1.08. That’s a bit too high for me. Guys you can get after him right now:
Barkley 1.10
Chubb 1.12
Taylor 2.03
Henry 2.06
Jacobs 2.07
Pollard 2.11
Barkley 1.10
Chubb 1.12
Taylor 2.03
Henry 2.06
Jacobs 2.07
Pollard 2.11

Pitts is the only one I can think of. And the reason they didn’t use him is because they ran the ball so much.
They hammered Julio, Ridley, Tony Gonzalez, Devonte Freeman when healthy.

He’s a rookie
True, but he's also at the position where it's easiest for what you show in college to translate to the pros.

True, I'm guessing Allgeier still gets 7-8 touches a game.

Much more likely to take touches from the non-Drake London receivers imo. He's also 32 years old and just got ruled out for a few weeks with a soft tissue injury

I'm willing to withhold judgement here. Like you said, Allgeier ran for 1000 yards, and Drake London had 866 yards in a very ground heavy run attack
At the end of the day, here's where my head's at- last year the Falcons ran the most times in the league, with the 3rd most rushing yards and 10th most touchdowns. Then they drafted a consensus all-american running back 8th overall to lead that rushing attack. I want that guy on my team. He's my RB4 after CMC, Ekeler, and Saquon.

His floor is 300 touches and the things he does great are the most valuable in fantasy football with his receiving ability and home run potential. I think Algier (175 touch projection) is actually a good thing for Bijan because he will eat up some of the not so valuable fantasy production of just yards between the 20’s. Kamara finished as a top 3 back his rookie year with only 120 rush attempts because of how efficient he was rushing (8TD’s) and 81 rec’s (another 5 TD’s). Bijan will likely double those rush attempts and has a shot for 70-80 rec’s. Plus, Smith’s offensive scheme with the propensity to run the ball is extremely well designed. Saquon finished no.2 overall his rookie year as well. Bijan is a better prospect in a better situation than all of them. Gotta love the division as well. This is what they look like to me and to me you have to consider him as no.1 overall RB and minimum top 4 with CMC, Ekeler, Chubb this season.

He may get a lot of touches, but the inconsistent passing game in Atlanta will hurt his overall production.

Well for one, he wasn't drafted in the top 10.
Secondly, he was RB6 when he got injured last year.

That’s a big statement.

After dumping on him a bit I took him for $46 in an Auction draft.
The RBs I said I'd take later in a snake and their values:
I took him before all of these guys except for Henry.
