I know this is an LSU homer board but Keegan was a better fit than Burns.

Still don't think JT should have made it either.

JT is not really on form, but I can’t knock the pick based on past performance. I like the rest of the picks. All of them are reasonable.

Glover is hot and should’ve been picked

Keegan is not well liked on tour. He’s kind of a notorious arsehole (ie the Jimenez incident). I think sam is really well liked and is a good teammate.

Could have gone with Keegan over Rickie or JT.

I expect that Scottie and Burns may be the 1st pairing.

Rickie has been about as consistent as anyone this year. JT has been hot garbage.

Going out on a limb to pick JT, but he has been great in these events before so hoping he finds some form.

I think you need the a-hole type to win in Europe.

He was also ahead of Burns in the Ryder Cup standings.

I don't even understand these standings if you take guys like JT anyway. ZJ basically said he is picking his friends over guys who deserve it.

Reed, DeChambeau, or Keegan instead of JT might not be great team chemistry but it would’ve been more points.

If you're going to go straight off of the standings, then there's no point in the captain's picks. I think having it at 6 and 6 is perfect. Didn't it used to be 9 with 3 captain's picks? I think that really hamstrung the captain.

The numbers could show that Burns is a great fit with someone already on the team. Honestly, I am shocked he made it, but they must see something.

It used to be 10-2, then 8-4 and now 6-6. This was to allow for the captain to pick the hottest players at the time. So much for that.

Yeah. He’s best friends with Scheffler. How is it shocking? He’s 12th in the standings.

I read a suggestion that they should make the formula weigh more recent events more heavily to get the hottest players. I don't know if it would've made a difference this year, though. All of the auto-qualifiers have been playing well the last couple of months.

The tournament isn't for another month. I think getting the hottest players would make sense if it was next week.
