I know not everything you cooled for thanksgiving came out exactly how you wanted. So what was it? Mine was my glaze for the turkey breast. Wanted the chunky texture for the honey glaze, but came out more like a bearclaw glaze texture. Still good, just not exactly like I planned.

Also cooked a whole beef tenderloin on the grill and that thing came out perfect. I impressed myself on that one and had some dipping sauces to go with it.

We went to my sisters for dinner, so the only thing I messed up was watching the calories.

But my other sister slightly burned the rolls on the bottom.

I went to my brother's house. Crowd of about 20 as usual. Everything was great except that the food was over salted. I was up from bed every hour going to the kitchen for a glass of water. The culprit was the side dishes...bean casserole and stuffing.

some sweet potato patties turned to mush in the grease, but we didn't need them anyway.

the fried turkey came out great, but in the end it was still just turkey.

I brined the turkey for the first time and it was a wild turkey so I was worried about screwing it up. It came out perfect.

My daughters tried cooking thanksgivng dinner for the first time. They overcooked the turkey and the dressing they made had the taste and texture of bread pudding.

It was great!

Out of all the things we cooked from scratch, the only thing we burned was the stupid brown 'n' serve rolls, which my 2nd grader probably could have made right!

On a side note, back in college my brother & I cooked a turkey together for the first time using a Reynolds oven bag. When it was almost done, we looked at the bag and noticed something funny floating in the juice. We had forgotton to take the giblet bag out of the cavity of the turkey. We ate the turkey anyway.

My step-mom went to see her family (both of her parents doing poorly), so it was me and my dad for 10 of us. While he did some stuff night before, I helped day of and I must say the only thing we messed up was forgetting the cranberry sauce in the fridge (never ate it). Everything else was perfect.

Everything was pretty perfect and delicious. My mom slightly burned the bottom of the stuffed bell peppers but they were still edible and my favorite dish!!
