Own both Gibbs and Montgomery. Both looked solid last week but on a split basis.
What do you do? Just start Gibbs and hope he breaks out? His burst looked elite on TNF.
Start them both?
Fahk.

Like it or not Monty is going to run the ball 15-20x a week as long as the game is close.
There is plenty of data that shows Campbell and company want to pound the ball and you’re not going to see a ton of that from Gibbs. It doesn’t make sense to take an undersized high draft pick and wear him down. Doesn’t mean he won’t carry it some and get very valuable touches with his talent. Honestly I’d probably just see how it plays out for a few weeks. If you want a safe floor go with Monty and if you are swinging big go with Gibbs.
Starting both isn’t even a horrible idea this week as they’re both talented and they may use Gibbs early and then Monty to ice it if Seattle struggles with their linemen out.

Who are your other options?
Kyren Williams.
I'm in this situation because Ekeler is out fwiw.

I’d run both of them out there. Like the other poster said, Monty is a pretty safe play and Gibbs could put up a big #.

Usually I’d say don’t start them both as you limit your upside significantly. In this situation with Ekeler out and your back up being sub par…. I think I’d roll them both out there.

Same situation for me, I'm starting Montgomery this week because he clearly gets more carries, I'm gonna try to trade one of them to make decision easier

Gibbs is going to be used like Kamara the first few years.
