It’s a massive win. They can’t hide and sneak up by lurking at the end of the schedule.

Playing Arkansas and it's not 45 degrees out. Gonna be weird.

Once the game moved off Thanksgiving weekend it didn't feel right anyways.

Might as well get them out the way early in the year.

The earliest in the season we have played them in 68 meetings going back to 1901 was October 19th, 1935. October 24th, 1936 was the last time we played them in the regular season in any month other than November. We did play them in two bowl games in January since then.

LSU-Arkansas outside of November LSU leads 9-4-1, Arkansas' last victory was October 29, 1927, and the only tie was in the 1947 Cotton Bowl.

December 06, 1901 LSU over Arkansas 15 - 0

October 23, 1919 LSU over Arkansas 20 - 0

October 28, 1922 Arkansas over LSU 40 - 6

October 27, 1923 Arkansas over LSU 26 - 13

October 31, 1925 Arkansas over LSU 12 - 0

October 29, 1927 Arkansas over LSU 28 - 0

October 24, 1931 LSU over Arkansas 13 - 6

October 22, 1932 LSU over Arkansas 14 - 0

October 21, 1933 LSU over Arkansas 20 - 0

October 20, 1934 LSU over Arkansas 16 - 0

October 19, 1935 LSU over Arkansas 13 - 7

October 24, 1936 #13 LSU over Arkansas 19 - 7

January 01, 1947 Tie 0 - 0

January 01, 1966 LSU over #2 Arkansas 14 - 7

Hell of a rabbit hole to run down this morning

Feels like it should be Auburn

Good transition to next season bc that schedule will be even more different… by the way, I think they’ll be announcing dates for 2024 games soon

I prefer playing Arkansas earlier in the season rather than playing them after Bama. They had a built in advantage to playing us at that time of year every year.

A&M is the better rival. Will stand by that.

Les Miles has given me permanent PTSD with playing Arky at the end of the year. I'm still mad about that piss poor coaching and performance when they shut us out after not winning an SEC game in 2 goddamn years. So I welcome this new schedule of playing the pigs way before Thanksgiving/Black Friday.

We've had classic games with Arky, the Aggie rivalry still has to grow on the gridiron in my opinion.
Aggie has more potential since we are starting to regularly get into recruiting battles with them, but needs more rememberable games.

I’d argue 2018 vs A&M and 2021 are more memorable than many, if not all of the wins against Arkansas the past few years

...or by following Alabama after another gut-wrenching loss, or upset win.

Aggy has long had the status of a traditional rivalry for LSU. We played them every year from 1960-1975, and again from 1986-1995 before the current annual conference rivalry.

Wish we played Bama this week. Many years had we played them earlier in the year we would've beaten the Gumps.

I love getting them before they get their shite together and start scheming on us like it’s their Super Bowl.

Historically Arky finishes their season much better than they start.
