The 3 wood struggle is real

But a different type of struggle. I’ve only had 2 fairway woods in the last 13 years or so. I had a Tour Spoon Rocketballz that I loved. Face cracked like 4 years ago. I got a Mavrik and loved it too. Face cracked a year ago. Callaway didn’t have any Mavrik tours in stock anymore but offered to send me a Paradym with my same Tour AD TP which was very nice of them. Of course I didn’t like it. I’ve tried everything. I even bought a Mavrik on eBay, weighting and feel and the way it sat still wasn’t the same. Struggling to find something. I rarely change clubs. Irons are 2 years old. Putter is 6 years old. 2 iron is 12 years old. Even the ball I play is 2019. Driver is new TSR3 but damn it sucks having to find a fairway wood I like. I currently have the stealth plus but even tho it sits great and feels great it’s like 12 yards behind my driver. It’s too long, too low spin. I know there’s a Mavrik somewhere on a tour van that would be perfect. Just give me about 5 mins on a van to check

I stopped carrying a 3w.. I can't hit it off the deck worth a shite.. if I hit off the tee I have the same problem, it's too close to driver distance wise.. I carry a 5w and it seems to work really well.. i can hit consistently from the deck which is much better.. off the tee it's been great usually dead straight and 240-260 depending. I do have the Stealth 2 in 5&7 wood and I found that I like the feeling of the regular stealth over the plus.. But find a fairway wood you like is hard for sure.. Hell a lot of tour pros are just not switching them out often so that should tell you all you need to know right there

The regular Stealth 16.5 wood is really good off the deck and the tee, plenty of height and distance.
You can still find a Taylormade V Steel Tour fairway wood on ebay andother sites. It was one of the few perfect fairway woods.
Guarantee you are not cracking it.
