Not sure how many of you thrash/hardcore metal fans remember shows during the mid to late eighties at the VFW Hall on Franklin Avenue. Most of the shows were all ages and there was some really great bands that played there. I was only able to attended a few shows in 87.

Below are a list of bands that I was able to find who played there.

- Shell Shock
- Rollins Band
- Acid Bath
- Corrosion of Conformity
- Confessor
- Saint Vitus
- SNFU
- Verbal Assault
- Graveyard Rodeo
- Incubus
- NOFX
- 7seconds
- Agnostic Front

Anyone else to add?

How was there anything left of that place after all those bands and their fans made their way through?

I saw a few of those bands there. Cromags played there, may have been with COC. Coroner played there one time, cant remeber who they were with. Shell-shock/Aftersock/Slugs and Graveyard Rodeo opened a lot of those shows. I listened to Graveyard on Spotify last week - brought back some good memories.
