It is a travesty if Boise is left out of the bcs with a team like Cincy is in.

automatic bids are ridiculous. bowl tie ins for non-bcs bowls are ok...once you get down to BCS games though...you should just take the top 10 teams.

what good does showcasing the ACC or Big East do when both those teams suck? If they werent in the same game, they would BOTH get embarrassed.

Automatic bids are ridiculous for one reason - the Big East

Again. The Big East is in no way the whipping boy for autobids.

The Big East is .600 in BCS games. Third among BCS conferences.

Do they suck donkey dick this year? Yes, but the autobid that should be taken away if any is the ACC.

the big east has won 6 bcs games. 3 of the big east's 6 bcs wins are from miami in 2000, 2001, and 2003. they are not in the big east anymore.

the big east and the acc are both absolutely horrible right now. but at some point miami and florida state are going to be back, and it wont be that way anymore. paul johnson could also be on his way to something at GT.

meanwhile, rodriguez and pat white are no longer at WV. petrino is gone from louisville. there are no threats from the big east anymore.

they do not deserve an automatic bid. they are sending cincinatti this year for crying out loud.

Even after Miami left the Big East is 3-1 in BCS bowls. Including wins over the SEC and Big XII.

I agree that the ACC has much more potential than the Big East does, but fact is based on what has happened on the field the Big East still deserves their bid. The conference that has gone 1-9 in BCS bowls does not.

that 3-1 record includes wins over wake forest and a georgia team that didnt take west virginia seriously until the second half. it also includes an absolute beat down at the hands of utah.

and like i already said, rrod and white are now gone from wvu. they were the closest thing the big east had to a contender year in and year out, and they could not capitalize on their success enough to sustain it through recruiting.

the big east is terrible. team for team the acc is better, even now. and they will definitely be better in the future.

1 of those losses came at the hands of miami when they were in the big east. 2 others came in the national championship game. another came against an undefeated auburn team. those 4 games are all more difficult than any game those 3-1 big east teams had to play in.

I don't know if I agree with all this so far. If I recall didn't the ACC go 3-1 against SEC teams last week? I know the original comment was about the Big East but then people went on to talk about the ACC as well.

When there arent many OOC games during the last 8 weeks, I feel it is hard to know who is good and who isn't. Therefore, there are the bowls and every winner of a conference rightfully gets a BCS bid.

FYI Tiger....Pat White is still at WVU

Not sure if you were joking, but I thought you were the one pulling for a Texas/Oklahoma title game? If you really think that, then why should we feel bad for Boise St.? Seeing Florida left out would be a bigger problem than Boise State.
