How much do you make, before taxes?

I cut my blue collar teeth in the commercial fire alarm industry. My dad owns a fire alarm contracting company with a few high rise contracts. It was a good gig but I've moved on.
How is the industry these days? My dad has sorta lived in his bubble and hasn't really tried to scale. He has his exclusive contracts and he's happy with it. Seemed like there was quite a bit of competition enter the industry at least locally over the last decade or so.

Can you DM a poster on here? I didn’t think you could unless you’re an admin

You need at least the Platinum Level membership for DMs.
Platinum Plus allows for video chat/meetings/shenanigans.
For Platinum Plus Ultra Max membership, Chicken will personally show up to the person's home/business and sing your message (anything over 5 messages per month is an extra fee though).

Sorry was not aware we could not DM. Here is my contact email: ryan.bienvenu@stopfire.com
company site: www.stopfire.com
Also the pay will go by the experience of the applicant. Technician jobs pay by the hour ranging from 17-30+ an hour but do not quote me on that I'm sure there are some that may exceed that number in the company. As far as sales goes it is also dependent on your experience, and it pays salary. I'm in sales and started at 80K a year but I had experience elsewhere before starting here. I now make about 95K a year. I'm also retired military and draw military VA disability.

The industry is very good, plenty of need but yes you do have competition depending on your area. In North Louisiana Fire Tech and Fire Troll have a good presence as well as JCI. And down south you have a few others like S&S, JCI, and Summit (formally C&S)

It does, but "access" is meeting TigerFred at a random Sonic where he only allows you to see them on his phone.

You're company has come a long way. If I recall correctly, it was mainly a sprinkler company not too many years ago.
How is the clean agent business these days? I know FM-200 went up from around $20/pound to like $75/pound overnight a couple tears ago and it was a tough sell with server rooms becoming some much smaller and cheaper.

Yep the company was founded in 1999 by the owner doing Fire Extinguisher inspections out of his truck then added pieces from there (Sprinkler systems, an engineer etc). We now have 5 locations between LA and TX. We are continuously growing.
Still work a lot with FM-200 although it is being phased out for newer clean agents. We still do quite a bit of server rooms as well as a lot of MCCs at industrial plants.

LOL oh I see! Naw I don't make those calls, but I highly doubt that! My dad was in sales in the oil industry and made that kind of money (Avg'd 200K per year) but he did it for 32 years and had a large number of big drilling companies as his customers. But then again, the harder you work in sales the more you can make!
