Could you work at Guitar Center?

I brought my son to Guitar Center in Houston the other day, after we dropped girls off at the Galleria to kill some time. Would consider us both decent guitar players and we both enjoy music.
But it was such a melting pot of music going on in there....
2 or three guys on electric drum sets playing various differnt beats
2 guys on keyboards/pianos playing different stuff.
Guitar guys were all over the place, the worst being some guy practicing his death metal on full blast (just hammering power chords as fast as he could)
Didn't hear all the stereotypical guitar songs though!
Honestly left there feeling a little dazed.
ETA - Fullers Guitars in Houston is awesome, but we didn't have time to get there before they closed.

I worked there for a few years during college, you kinda just get used to it. It’s amazing what you can tune out after a while. Definitely helps me now with a toddler In the house.

I wouldn't shop at guitar center.

Last time I was in one (Joliet IL) some arse wipe was playing drums (very poorly) while there's was a line of customers at thr counter attempting to conduct business by screaming.
I believe he actually thought he was drumming well.

Playing “Dust In The Wind” always makes you friends in the acoustic room too.

I went over to the bass room one night because some dude kept playing the same riff over and over and over and over again. Different basses and amps, same riff. I had heard the riff before but the song was eluding me. I went and stood next to him and asked what song that was. He told me and I said oh yeah (can’t remember now what it was). I picked up a bass and started playing the riff (I didn’t know the song). He looked a bit rejected and left. LOL.
Now I’m not saying I’m some super musician, but it wasn’t very hard to pick up on the spot.
